How do you apply to get TARP money for your small business? Has the TARP money been made available to small businesses? Can a small business get a loan through the TARP allocation not going to banks?

The Obama Administration launched the Small Business and Community Lending Initiative to help get credit flowing to small businesses. The main portion of the program is to purchase up to $15 billion in pooled SBA-backed loan to help kickstart SBA financing. I believe this money will come from the TARP. They are also doing some work around raising gaurantees on SBA loans to make them more likely to be given to small businesses, elminating fees, etc. |
